According to Alaska sportsman : list of illustrators/photographers for covers and frontispieces, January 1935 - December 1959, by Candy Waugaman (Call # NC975.W382 2001 READING ROOM), Elite Studio was owned by Edward C. Adams and existed from 1915-50.
Our Elite Studio photograph collection, 1910-1936. (ASL-PCA-294 ) indicates that Mr.Adams started the business in 1917.
