In the back row, the bald man to the right of Sen. Kerttula is Sen. Joe Josephson of Anchorage. I believe the man to his right is Sen. Lloyd Jones of Ketchikan.

Thank you Dennis. We will add these names into the descriptions after a brief double-check on Sen. Josephson's portraits.

Dennis is right about Joe Josephson, but I think that's Sen. Paul Fischer to his right, not Lloyd Jones. In the next row, between Arliss and Don Bennett are Sens. Jan Faiks and Fritz Pettyjohn. In row 3, next to Halford is Sen. Robert Ziegler.

I'm the guy in the front row, left side. I have this same photo at home. This is the 1984 Alaska Senate. That side is pages, Sgt at Arms and Assistant. The back row is Sen's Tim Kelly, Anc, Pat Rodey, Anc, Dick Eliason, Sitka, Jay Kerttula, Palmer, Joe Josephson, Anc, and Paul Fisher, Kenai. The next row is Arliss Sturgulewski in blue (Anc), Fritz Pettyjohn, Anc, Jan Faiks, Anc, and Don Bennett, FBKS,and then John Alcantra, a page. Next row starts with Peggy Mulligan, Senate Secretary in red, John Sackett, Ruby, Bill Ray from JNU, Don Gilman from Soldotna in blue with red tie, Rick Halford Chugiak/ ER inred tie, and Bob Ziegler Ktkn and then an assistant Senate Secretary, I think her name was Dondi. The other women in that corner were also assistant Senate secretaries. The front row after me and another page (Joanna) are Pappy Moss from Delta Junction, Bob Mulcahy from Kodiak, Bettye Fahrenkamp Fbks, Jay King, a page, Vic Fischer from Anc and Frank Ferguson from Kotz. I know a few of the pages names, the guy above me with the red tie to my right is Jack Gibbons, the Sgt at arms, next to him is Alan Plotnick a page whose father was Rocky Plotnick who often gave the morning prayer to the Senate.

Tall man with dark hair on the far left is Jack (?), Senate Sergeant at Arms. the six young people just to Jack's left are all senate pages. Don't know any names. In the back row is a page, then Tim Kelly, whose name is spelled wrong (no e); then Dick Eliason, not Rick, then Jay Kerttula, then Joe Josephson, then Paul Fisher, then John Alcantra, Assistant Senate Sergeant at Arms.
Directly to Arliss Sturgelewski's right is Peggy Mulligan, Senate Secretary. Just Below Sturgulewski is John Sackett. Sure looks like Fritz Pettyjohn just below and between Jay Kertulla and Joe Josephson, but I don't know for sure. Just behind Rick Halford, on his right, is Jan Faiks. Just below John Alcantra is Bob Ziegler. To Ziegler's left is Londi Ensor of the Senate Secretary's office. Just behind Londi and slightly to her left is Nancy Quinto, also of the Secretary's office.

What a good looking crew. My friend Craig Lyon (who I have not seen in several years) did a good job on identification. The page next to Craig is Joanna Van Slyke who was from Juneau.

Row 2 is indeed Jack Gibbons (Sergeant at Arms, Now back in Rhode Island). Craig Lyon did a very good job naming most of the others, including myself to the left of Sen. Bennett. Man I had hair back then, a mere 24 years ago.

Jay King, between Fahrenkamp and Vic Fischer in the front row is the other guy with the COOL thin tie! These shall return someday!

Jay became a multi-millionaire in the music business when his group "Club Nouveau" hit #1 in 1987with the remake of "Lean on Me."

The page off of Craig's left shoulder (next row) is Kathy Johnston who was from Anchorage. Off Jack Gibbons shoulder (upper row between Jack and Senator Tim Kelly) is Robert "Bob" Irving from Fairbanks.

The Asst. Sen Secretary to Ziegler's left is Londi Ensor, who may still work for the Chief Clerk of the House. The other Asst. Sen Secretaries (off of Londi's left shoulder are Kathy and Nancy Quinto (to me left). Nancy became the Senate Secretary after Peggy Mulligan retired.

That's about all I have. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!!

The un-named page on the left side of the photo was named michelle, as has been mentioned. The Senate pages in that year were a fun and hard-working group that almost always got along. I was a tv camera operator on duty in the Senate and relied on them for food from the lounge and sometimes for entertainment. I recall Jay King trying to teach former Governor Sheffield to moonwalk.
